Temperature & Shipping Care

Our imported Swedish candies feature a variety of textures and ingredients that can be sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity during transit.

• Cold Weather: Cold shipping conditions may cause some candies to become temporarily firm, hard or more brittle upon arrival.

• Warm Weather: Heat and humidity may cause softening, tackiness, coating transfer or light surface moisture.

For the Best Texture

For the best experience, allow your candy to rest unopened at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours after delivery.

This allows the candies to gradually adjust to room temperature and often helps restore them closer to their intended texture. Extreme temperatures during transit, however, can occasionally cause lasting changes.

“Citric Sweat” & Tackiness

Sour candies may develop light surface moisture or become glossy and tacky as their sour coatings react to changes in temperature and humidity. Commonly known as “citric sweat,” this is a natural response to environmental changes and is not, on its own, a sign of spoilage.

TIP: If some pieces become particularly tacky or moist, we recommend separating them from the rest of the bag to help prevent moisture, sour coating, colour or flavour from transferring to other candies.

Shipping During Extreme Temperatures

During periods of extreme heat or cold, we strongly recommend selecting expedited shipping at checkout to reduce the amount of time your candy spends in uncontrolled temperatures.

Shipping and weather conditions are outside of our control. Expedited shipping can help reduce temperature exposure but cannot guarantee that candy will arrive completely unaffected by extreme temperatures.
